The winter swimming season traditionally begins with a swim in the Punkva Caves in the Moravian Karst. The water stays almost the same temperature every year, around 8–9°C, but this year’s sunshine also allowed walks around the Macocha Abyss. Read more…

On Saturday 5 February 2011, we organised the ninth Braník Ice winter swimming competition. Races over 100, 250, 500, 750 and 1,000 metres took place in sunshine but strong wind. The water was 2.8°C and the air 9.0°C. Read more…

On 26 December 2010, we again organised the oldest Czech cold-water swimming competition, the Alfred Nikodem Memorial. Its 64th edition featured 100-, 300- and 750-metre races, with 188 swimmers in total.
