The 13th František Venclovský Memorial at Přerov Lagoon took place in unusually warm November weather.

With water above 8°C, everyone could swim without needing a previously earned cold-water performance grade.
Interest in the longest course, 1,000 metres, was minimal. Some called it tactical racing. Others simply reasoned that under the current rules, bonus points for opponents beaten would earn them more over 750 metres than the longer distance.
