On Saturday 11 February 2012, Brno’s Svratka hosted another Czech Winter Swimming Championships, this time freestyle and in truly wintry conditions. The water was 1.0°C and the air −3°C. Fortunately, despite the preceding hard frosts, organisers managed to keep the course clear of ice.
Our club achieved several excellent results. Our medallists were:
- Petr Tomášek, 1st in the men’s category
- Zdeněk Tlamicha, 1st in Masters A
- Richard Haan, 2nd in Masters C
- Pavel Houžvička, 3rd in Masters A
- Lubomír Valenta, 3rd in Masters D
