Ideal conditions — air at 8°C, water at 1.8°C and sunshine — plus access to the starts on foot or by boat and a friendly atmosphere, all crowned by excellent I. PKO results! Petr Tomášek won the 1,000-metre category, Zdeněk Tlamicha took a fine seventh place, and Radka Srbová was third over 750 metres. That was racing on the Dyje in Břeclav on 18 February 2012.
