As usual, the weather improved for our pre-season “triathlon”, allowing the working party and campfire to go ahead as planned. The least predictable part was the club trial. New faces dominated, taking the first five places in the combined men’s and women’s standings.
Petr Šlajs won, followed by his triathlon friend Petr Mužíček. The women’s podium also occupied third to fifth overall, ahead of all the remaining men: Alžběta Dvořáková, guest swimmer Monika Anděrová and Nikola Hájková. Best of our familiar club stalwarts was Zdeněk Tlamicha, who narrowly beat fellow regular Michal Štengl for the honour of third place among the men.
