I. PKO Praha’s cold-water swimmers wish all our supporters a happy 2012 and invite you to Braník on Sunday 8 January at 10:30 for the traditional New Year baptism. Thank you also to everyone who joined the Alfred Nikodem Memorial and contributed to its record turnout. Interest in information about cold-water swimming on our website was exceptional too, evidently boosted by this year’s Christmas race.
Cold-water swimmers’ baptism 2012
When: Sunday 8 January 2012 at 10:30.
Where: the Vltava channel beside the Kotva campsite in Prague-Braník (Nádraží Braník stop, trams 3, 16, 17 and 21).
Meeting point: I. PKO Praha clubhouse, U Kempinku 1801/2, Prague 4 [map].
Who: open to all cold-water swimmers and the public. New members receive their baptism; other members and visitors renew theirs each year by tradition.
